Ku'ulei Reeser joined Hui Malama Learning Center in February of 2007 when she relocated to Maui, from Hilo, in order to be closer to family. Ku'ulei was born and raised on the Big Island spending several years in northern California. She has eight year old son. At Hui Malama, Ku'ulei has recently taken on the position of Programs Development Director.

Kuulei said she feels Hui Malama plays an essential role in our community by providing an alternative to traditional educational institutions. She said she is proud to be a part of this innovative and caring organization.

Ku'ulei has worked for the Univeristy of Hawai'i system for the last 13 years in areas of grants management and research. She served as a Director of Financial Management for the Hawai'i Small Business Development Center as well as Operations Supervisor at 'Imiloa Astronomy Center of Hawai'i located on the Big Island of Hawai'i and most recently, Administrative Officer at the UH Institute for Astronomy. Ku'ulei holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science, with an emphasis in Public Administration, from the University of Hawai'i at Hilo and recently earned her Master's degree in Educational Technology through the University of Hawai'i at Manoa's College of Education.
