High School
Hui Malama Learning Center’s High School program provides a high school curriculum to students at high school grade levels at our Wailuku location.
Students complete an Individualized Learning Plan and are supported by an educational counselor to participate in a variety of enhancement activities intended to increase academic success, improve employability and encourage positive community involvement.
Our High School program is offered to students who want to eventually go into our GED program. At this level the focus is on the core high school subjects of math, science, language arts and social studies, as well as STEM subjects.
Hui Malama Learning Center provides students with a positive learning experience while focusing on project-based curricula in the areas of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). We assist students to become lifelong learners and critical thinkers by developing essential academic competencies and encouraging appropriate and responsible life choices. Students learn how to access resources, problem-solve and develop life skills relevant to their community and personal goals. Students will have the opportunity to explore secondary educational, vocational and employment possibilities.
Our High School schedule runs Monday through Thursday, from 8:00am to 3:00pm, and on Friday from 8:30am to 11am. Tutoring services are available and may be required. Summer session options are also available. We follow the Hawaii Department of Education’s school calendar.
